Each year Sydney Design Festival brings an array of events to Sydney that promotes inclusivity and accessibility in the design industry. This year we were excited to be chosen as an official event contributor in collaboration with Bakedown Cakery, presenting a talk at the University of Sydney about communicating data on edible canvas.
We need to make information accessible to more sensory inputs, therefore provide more bandwidth for information to flow
In addition to sharing insights from our design journey, we also talked about the challenge to communicate in this new world of visual saturation, and the need for designers to look “beyond the pixel” to explore how other sensory modes can be used to make data more accessible.
